the smuggler’s bible

In a certain sense, the word ‘society’ can be understood to describe the intersection of disparate elements and the friction which occurs when they meet. Always there is an exchange. Everyone has something to give or take.

The big parson in the dark red robes has, for example, an enormous quantity of sheer, brutal strength and a growling hatred of purity. Similarly, Ossian Thornquist has both of his hands around the man’s left wrist and a boot on the side of his neck. The friction—I think—speaks for itself, as is often the case in these sorts of situations.
