the smuggler’s bible

Tabellarius Zvonomir skims through Logistics Officer Grazny’s report—both the original and the rather confused addendum—and decides that, all things considered, the situation really is the result of pure dumb luck and not incompetence.

It’s a relief, honestly. In bad cases (and Zvonomir has seen some of the worst) it can be both together.

“Take a memo.” He motions to an aide. “I want Grazny let off her leash.”

“Sir. And shall I file those for you?”

“Not yet,” Zvonomir says. “If she’s quick, we can include a second addendum before the capital figures out anything has even happened.”
