Castle Frog

Castle Frog was born in the castle, and figures he probably won’t ever leave. He spends most of his day down in the cellar where it seems to him—and it’s hard to be sure mind you—that the south wall is slouching more than usual. The water covering the floor might be a touch deeper, too, but that never hurt anyone.

Come evening, he heads up to the courtyard to sit among the rocks where the beetles congregate. He isn’t sure whether they come for the lichen or the old bones, and he honestly doesn’t care much either way.
