Dianna

Dianna seals the airlock and launches herself down the corridor through the blinking lights of emergency power. She throws out a hand to check her speed but hits the bulkhead hard.

“Just a little farther,” she mutters, hooking a left at a T-junction toward the bridge. The door slides open as she approaches then locks behind her with a solid thud.

The captain is waiting in his chair. She can see the console lights blinking through his chest.

“Oh, come on,” Dianna says. “You just died like ten minutes ago.”

“It’s a ghost planet,” the captain shrugs. “What’d you expect?”
